Lighting trends for 2019

As always when we start the year we wonder what decorative styles are going to be a trend and therefore what will be the forms of lighting that will stand out the most. During these first weeks of the year we wanted to collect the 8 most relevant trends in lighting for 2019 and we have to say that news is coming!

1.    Focused lighting from the ceiling

Lighting has become an essential element in interior design, the first thing we should take into account when thinking about the distribution of a space is undoubtedly light. Although having natural lighting is always ideal, artificial lighting increasingly gives us more possibilities and, in addition, with the advantage that allows us to create the specific environment we want.

The lighting with recessed ceiling spotlights, which create a homogeneous light with a minimalist style, is combined with focused lighting that allows us to highlight areas or details of our decoration such as armchairs, shelves or paintings.

2.    Pendant lamps: a must

Ceiling lamps become sculptural. Especially in living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens. The ceiling lamps are configured as the central point of the room and around it the rest of the decoration is distributed. It is committed to bold and striking design lamps, always according to the size of the space and other furniture.

3.    One star point and several auxiliary points

The 'jewel' ceiling lamp is certainly tendència, but never alone! Light points with table lamps or sconces are essential. This is one of the trends in lighting that is gaining more relevance. In this way we manage to create ideal corners to read or relax, with a dimmer light.

4.    Natural fiber lamps

Natural fibers and fabric are a trend in decoration this 2019. Fibers such as wicker or linen allow us to create cozy rooms and, at the level of lighting, give us a play of dimmed light that creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

5.    Gold and black, perfect combination

Gold is undoubtedly the color par excellence in this year's decorative accessories (knobs, mirrors, taps ...). The metal finishes go from copper to gold, which is combined with black especially in kitchens. Goodbye to pristine white for kitchens, this 2019 black kitchens are imposed, in which lighting has a key role.

6.    Portable lamps

If you haven't gotten one yet, what are you waiting for! They are certainly here to stay. They are the solution to all your problems. Maximum functionality and versatility. They allow you to create the ideal environment wherever you want. In addition, most have adjustable light and, needless to say, they are an ideal decorative element.

7.    Round and rounder

Goodbye to straight lines, take the 'curvy'! The round shapes are imposed on side tables, sofas, mirrors, poufs, armchairs ... and also in lamps! The classic style is remodernized and gives rise to pieces as characteristic as the Dipping Light of MARSET.

8.    Industrial style, the trend that remains

Years will pass, but this style will always be a great option. The industrial style design combines materials such as cement, metal, wood or leather. Metal pendant lamps inspired by the New York factories of the 50s are still a trend this 2019.
