We have good news, the year 2019 is full of news! In this post we want to present the new models of the brand MARSET, which brings us spectacular novelties that perfectly combine design and functionality, something essential in lighting.

Marset is synonymous with design, of that there is no doubt, but year after year the Barcelona brand continues to demonstrate that it is at the forefront of lighting. This 2019 MARSET reinvents classics and joins the trends of the season: minimalist style, portable lamps, rounded shapes, gold ... Attentive to these lamps that we present to you, because they do not leave anyone indifferent. 

    1. Dipping Light, by Jordi Canudas. The undisputed winner.

Without a doubt, this is one of the great novelties of MARSET for this year. The Dipping Light, by designer Jordi Canudas, has already won several international awards (Best Disco Divas, MetropolisLikes in New York, Best of Year Award) and ventures as one of the brand's new flagship lamps. And it is that this new model of MARSET meets all expectations. As its designer says, the Dipping Light goes beyond its function as a lamp, it seeks to excite. We believe it succeeds.
 

 
Dipping Light was born from the idea of immersing a lit bulb in paint, transformed into a table lamp. The color circles of the screen manage to attenuate the intensity of the light progressively and dye it the chosen tone. As a support to this sphere of light, a brass base is added in gold color, the tone par excellence of the season. This desktop is available in two sizes and 6 colors (green, amber, pink, white, black and blue). Each lamp gives a lighting of different tonality, so it allows to create very diverse environments, all of them captivating.

 
2. Hight Line, by Josep Lluís Xuclà. Art with light.

We could define the High Line lamp as light made sculpture. Josep Lluís Xuclà presents the maximum design with the minimum expression, a spectacular combination. This new floor lamp is designed to reflect the light against the wall, so that it returns creating a brighter space.
 

 
The lamp is composed of three prismatic wooden shapes, in warm tones, one as a base and two vertical blocks. A sophisticated and sober lamp that contrasts with the warmth of its colors and material. A safe bet to give a touch of color to minimalist style interiors. 

3. Vetra, by Joan Gaspar. New family at home.

The Catalan designer Joan Gaspar is the creator of this new family of MARSET lamps. The Vetra family consists of pendant lamp (available in different sizes), floor lamp and tabletop model.
 
The Vetra pendant model, made of blown glass, is distinguished by placing the light source outside the screen instead of inside. That causes the lamp to produce a more intense light than we would expect, directing part of it downwards and filtering another part inside the screen, illuminating it and thus highlighting its shape.
 

 
In the table and foot versions of Vetra the seatpost is divided into two, breaking its balance and elegantly solving the cable output. It is available in various sizes (diameter of 20, 32 and 43 cm).

 
4. Discocó, by Christophe Mathieu. Design made lamp.

One of the most iconic lamps in MARSET is reinvented again after 10 years. After being presented throughout this time with different sizes and finishes, the Discocó model is now offered in a new one: Oak wood Discocó. This material brings warmth to the design and adds it to the trend of natural materials. It is possible to transmit again the appearance of balance in suspension, without transmitting in any case apparent weight, which is not real either.
 

 
Without a doubt, discocó makes us fall in love again with this new presentation. Design made lamp at its best.

 
5. Funiculí, by Lluís Porqueras. The great classic reinvented.

Another classic reinvented by MARSET for this 2019. This design by Lluís Porqueras first saw the light more than 30 years ago, in 1979, but it is undoubtedly a timeless model that has not lost an iota of style. It is now presented with a fabric screen that gives it a touch of warmth, making it ideal for bedrooms and living rooms. A style somewhat more classic than the original, but that maintains its simplicity and elegance. 
 

 
The Funiculí is the clear example of fusion between design and functionality, this lamp allows direct and indirect lighting and modulates the light with its set of tweezers. This model, like the previous one, is available in floor lamp, table lamp and wall lamp, with the possibility of choosing between white or beige screen, the two options with black structure.
