How to Hang a Lamp Easily? Step by Step!

To be able to hang a lamp, some materials are necessary that we will have to have:

First of all, we have to take into account that electrical cables and, therefore, electricity will be manipulated. So gloves and goggles are essential to be able to hang the lamp safely.

In addition, you will have to cut off the electricity in this room, to protect and prevent us.

Is there a lamp already in place and do you want to replace it? Or is this the first time a lamp will be installed?

If there is already a lamp installed, you will have to disassemble it: first the bulb, socket and finally disconnecting the cables with an electrician screwdriver.

In case it is the first time you are going to put a lamp, mark all the positions of this one for the studs.

If the lamp to be hung has a cable that is too long, you have the option (preferable) of hiding them between the electrical box and the base of the lamp.

Otherwise, you will have to cut the cables to the extent you want (keep in mind that you will have to peel about 8mm at the tip, with a peeler).

Step 4

Now there is the point that for some may be the most complicated: the electrical connection. Take extreme precautions and place each cable according to the corresponding color and place.

This would be the last step, since once the electrical connection has been made, it only remains to fix the lamp on the ceiling or on the wall. We will then place the bulb (in case it does not have an integrated LED) and we will reconnect the electricity to check if the installation has been carried out correctly.
