This renowned Italian lighting brand has us accustomed to bringing design to its maximum expression in all its products. In this case it could not be different, we present three of the main novelties of the brand.

1.    Take design everywhere: Bellhop

Portable lamps are one of the most outstanding trends of this year (if you still do not know what the lighting trends of 2019 are, do not miss our post on Lighting trends for 2019) and FLOS has not hesitated to sign up for it with one of its most characteristic designs. The brand presents the Bellhop portable table lamp totally wireless and with rechargeable battery through Micro-USB-C port with an autonomy of 24 hours.

This small direct light LED lamp was created by Edwar Barber and Jay Osgerby, from Universal Design Studio, specifically to occupy the tables of the Parabola restaurant of the Design Museum in London, inspired by the buttons of the hotels (bellhop in English) that give shape and name to the luminaire.

The renewed version of the Bellhop lamp is made of photogravure opaline polycarbonate molded by injection and available in 4 different colors: tile color, white, dark brown and light gray. In addition, this incredible design lamp has a switch located at the base that makes it possible to regulate the intensity of the light in four levels. Without a doubt it is a piece of spectacular design, functional and with infinite versatility.

2.    Be the designer of your own lamp: Arrangements

Flos proposes us to become the designers of our own lamp with this collection called Arrangements that includes up to 8 different modules so that each one can combine them at will and create a lamp of unique design.

The Arrangements collection consists of different aluminium luminaires with integrated LEDs, sold separately, of various shapes and sizes: circles, squares, rhombuses, lines, angles... so that through their combination each one can create their own lamp of totally personalized design, adapted to their tastes and needs.

This line of suspended lamps was created by the designer Michael Anastassiades inspired by the 'fascinating parallel between lighting and jewelry' and with the aim of 'understanding how the delicate nature of something small can be transferred in space and continue to retain its preciousness thanks to how the materials are presented'. "It is no coincidence that the word 'pendant' has a double meaning," the author declares.

Each combination is supplied with one or two cables from 250 cm cut to 150 cm minimum length. Once the desired lighting pieces have been chosen, the voltage must be calculated and the appropriate roof rosette must be chosen for its power.

We love the idea, there are many possible combinations and the result is spectacular. Let your imagination run wild and design your own!

3.   Minimum expression, maximum design: Lightspring

"Less is more", this expression repeated a thousand and one times is the exact definition of the Lightspring applique of FLOS. A simple yet elegant design made of aluminum and injection molded PMMA. The head of the wall lamp can be rotated up to 45º on the vertical axis, which allows to direct the lighting even if it is an indirect light.

Ron Gilad is the designer of this piece that turns a lamp into something almost sculptural, suitable for living rooms, bedrooms or corridors. The Lightspring wall lamp is available in two sizes Lightspring Double and Lightspring Simple (with a smaller size), both available on our website.
