A little history of the Tatu lamp:

The designer of this luminaire, André Ricard, was inspired by an armadillo to create it. The designer, in a transoceanic flight, between reading about the Argentine fauna and meditating on the lamp of his seat. It was then that he created the Tatu lamp for the firm Santa & Cole.

Tatu refers to a casual era, when the European middle classes came to mass consumption and their children dared to a huge aesthetic revolution, where everything was contorted, from Andy Warhol to The Beatles or Mary Quant. Everything could be expressed in another way.

Tatu's mechanical and steerable body, as a compact flexo, was conceived in three sections that can rotate independently to suit its use on a shelf, on a desk, on the bedside table or even as a wall lamp (precise fixation is included).
